Shared Merzouga Desert Tour 3 Days From Marrakech

Day 1: Marrakech – Kasbah Ait Ben haddou – Boumalne Dades

This 3 days shared desert tour from Marrakech to Merzouga, will start from your accommodation around 7:30 a.m. we will drive south towards the highest pass in Morocco, called Tizi-Ntishka more than 2000 M High.

And keep in mind that there will be numerous stops along the way to enjoy the Atlas Mountains landscapes and to take some photos and you also get a chance to refresh yourself with a cup of coffee or a drink from your preference.

On this day you also have a chance to visit the UNESCO world heritage site Kssar or Kasbah Ait Benhaddou, this beautiful village is the most famous of the ksour of Onilla valley, and it was also served and still as I set for many Bollywood movies, TV series such as ( Kingdom of heaven, the game of thrones, gladiator….) and the list goes on.

Feel free to walk & explore the site, if you wish There is an option to hire a local guide with an extra €3. After visiting of these kasbahs, continue your way towards Ouarzazate where you will have lunch at a local restaurant of your choice. There is an option to visit Kasbah of Taourirt, before heading through the oasis of Skoura, Klaat Mgouna that is also known for its ( Roses festival) which take a place, usually every May.

When you arrive in Boumalne Dades, admire the scenic view on your way next to dads River, passing by Berber villages, several Kasbahs, to see The zigzag of Dades canyons. And then head to your hotel for a tasty dinner and an overnight.

Day 2: Dades Valley – Tinghir gorges – Merzouga – Sahara desert

Following breakfast at your dad’s valley hotel, get prepared for an incredible journey, which will probably be the highlight of your 3-day desert tour from Marrakech to Merzouga, your next station will be at Tinghir you will get an opportunity to walk in Oasis under the shade of the palm trees, see how the people herding their cattle or taking care of their fields.

Step by step the walking will take you to admire the magnificent Todra Canyons, Feel free to explore, and get some amazing photographs, or you can just enjoy the silence between those gorges. Before You got some spare time for lunch at one of the local cafes. After finishing your meals you will carry forward to Rissani later passing distinct “fortified villages, small towns, Oasis” from here you can see the golden Sand dunes appearing over the horizon.

Open arrival to Merzouga gets ready for 45 minutes, a Camel ride through the sand dunes of erg Chebbi with a spectacular sunset view. After seeing this unbelievable scenery, a yummy Moroccan dinner will be waiting for you under the stars next to the campfire.

When you finished your dinner the nomad’s host will do some entertainment using their drums, and teach you how to play tam, below the clear sky until midnight.

Day 3: Erg chebbi – Merzouga – Ouarzazate – Marrakech

Following the next morning, there will be an early wake-up to watch a wonderful sunrise and have your breakfast, before meeting the camel caravan that will take you to meet ur driver.

Then head back to Ouarzazate, Have your lunch at leisure, and there is an option to visit the atlas studios before heading back to Marrakesh through the High Atlas Mountains.
